    • Excellent vehicle

I drive this car daily for work. I live in MI. The AWD when combined with snow tires is great on snow and icey roads. The interior is very comfortable. Love the heated steering wheel and seats. The ventilated seats are nice in the summer. My car is loaded with options. The hybrid gets 40 mpg. I absolutely love this car and people compliment me on the appearance all the time. I'm not sure why other people gave it poor reviews. I put 40,000 miles on my car in about 1 1/2 years. Change the oil every 5000 miles. It handles and rides great.
    • Confused by a lot of the reviews

Firstly, this car is amazing. You should never get under 45 mpg to the gallon, and it handles great in the SE trim. Most of the reviews mention resale value and losing money after they drive away. Folks, this is car buying, no matter the brand. If you want a car that appreciates, go buy a Ferrari. However, with that being said, it's one of the few brands that offers service free at any dealer for the first 25k miles. Please remember that the reviews should be about the car and not nonsense that is normal when buying a new or used car.
    • Great New Camry- My 4th

New to Hybrid driving and it has grown on me. It's basically the gas engine Camry with a battery drive added. So, hard highway driving gets me 38-40mpg, in town and commuter driving, I get 44-50 mpg. Smaller gas tank so range of 400-500 miles is no improvement. 13 gallon tank but low light goes on with 3 gallons left and when the guage goes to zero, (with about 2 gallons still left) you are guessing. So, I'm only buying 10 gallons of gas at a time. Comfortable and agile, brakes and acceleration good. Interior comfortable. Base sound system is avg. I hate wireless carplay so still plug in and works great. Safety features are excessive! Blindspot standard (should be on every car), of course the front accident warning is required. I do use the lane change warning as well. The self-driving (lane centering) and the LDA driver assist stuff is not for me at all. The sign reading thing and auto-high beams also stupid. All the "connected" app stuff is also too much. I turned off most of it. I found out AFTER purchasing, that if you don't "opt out" up front, Toyota tracks the car and collects data for 10 years. The App to control the car only works free for one year! Shame on you Toyota for tracking and collecting my data and also charging more money to "subscribe" for the remote car features! If that's "how it is now" than how it is is awful for consumers. Also, the 0w8 oil is available at Walmart and other auto stores now. don't get upcharged for oil changes. Toyota dealers do it themselves (after the 25K) and shameful when the Mobil1 oil is down the street at walmart. Overall a great fuel-efficient highway family cruiser or commuter car with a bit too much tech and 'connected' features. Even the base LE requires hours to learn about all the features. Would not buy grandma a brand new car these days! She would crash it reading all the small letters on the dash.
